Another new addition at Rosewood.  Emily's new puppy, "Parker" and my old friend "Tessa" enjoy a snuggle on a cold afternoon.

January 25, 2009

It was a great start to the year for Rosewood Stables.  Today we went to Highland Green Schooling Show and had great results.

Jamie Francis and T.G.I.F. were Champion of the 2'6" Division with Karly Westman-Mallett and Anything But Ordinary following close behind with Reserve Champion.

Deb Westcott took her mare Crystal out for the first time over fences.  They show great promise for their future on the Arab Circuit.

Also Katie Donlan and Problem Solved showed a lot of character and will be a great team in the near future.  Katie displayed great courage and composure in her efforts to attack the 2'6" division all by herself.  I am confident they will exceed their goals for 2009.

It was a great day to measure our efforts of the past few months.  Now back to lessons and more practice until the next outing.

 October, 2008

Our newest addition at Rosewood Stables is "Spats"!  He was a stray that was starving at my home and I was able to befriend him and bring him to a good life at Rosewood.  Spats has received his first shots and has accepted life on the farm quite well as you can see.

Congratulations to Hannah Gross, the new owner of Pride's Elliott Ness, aka "Elliott" bred by Barb Bowan of Orchard Park Stables, at www.ontariobreedersproductionsale.com on his approval by the Irish Sport Horse Inspectors today.  Elliott received a score of 74% from the Inspectors, who traveled here from Ireland, and will now be registered as an Irish Sport Horse.  They also gave him the compliment of having fluid loose movement which is very highly regarded in the Irish breed.  Hannah has much to look forward to in further developing Elliott and her partnership.  All the Best for the future.
